Cracking Under Pressure 101

Hi welcome to your first lecture (refer to previous posts for a brief lesson on lectures)

You already know my name so lets begin.

As almost everyone doesn't know,

I went for my first scrabble competition in Melbourne yesterday..

The journey was, LONG, considering it was 8am in the morning. After like, 1 hour or so?, I finally arrived at Box Hill. Since it was still early, the place felt like a meteor had just hit the town and everyone had evacuated. Not a single shop open (cmon its 8.45 already and you're not open?). WARNING TO NON SCRABBLE FANS: You can skip the next paragraph :)

Ok quit ranting about the place already. Anyway the rest of the day was ONLY 8 MATCHES OF INTENSE SCRABBLING. I ended with 7th place, with 5 out of 8 wins, after losing to arguably 3 of the best players in the field. For most of the tournament, I was within the top 5, until the Last Game. I just HAD to meet the number 1 rated player in Australia to determine my placing in the tournament (photo below). Not surprisingly, i got trashed and ended with 7th place out of 34 players. A consolation would be that the tournament was a qualifier for matchplay, with means that i'll be playing a knockout style tournament til i lose, hopefully not til the final ;)

Anyhow, i enjoyed my first ever tournament in Melbourne and thank all the people for their warm reception while i was there. For those reading, i'll be back in JB in 17 days. YES I'LL BE BACK AGAIN. For those who ask why, its because i have the awesome-est friends who will be back as well :) can't wait to see you guys and gals AGAIN :)

This concludes my lecture on Cracking Under Pressure 101. You may LEAVE the blogosphere now.

1 more, and you'll be back ;)
